Screwing gripper technology
The technology of this gripper allows it to develop a very large clamping force (about 10x the force of a gripper) so as to obtain the necessary tightening torque in the following applications:
– screwing cosmetic or hygiene bottles, with or without spout
– screwing of pots or cans with torque control
– screwing of thermostatic subassemblies
– screwing push buttons
The central rear pneumatic supply and single acting makes it easy to mount on a rotating joint.
Screwing bottles with pump spout
The wide angle opening version is generally used for screwing vials with pump spouts.
The 2-finger version makes it possible to tighten square or prismatic caps, but also to reduce cycle time by let go the bottle radially by opening the gripper at the height of clamping, when the drive system makes it possible to index the rotation of the gripper.
What screwing torque with a gripper ?
Depending on the size of the clamp (and therefore its tightening torque), depending on the length of the jaws and the material of the part to be screwed, it will be possible to obtain a screwing torque up to 30 Nm:
The grippers 2913110, 2913120 and 2913215 generally allow to obtain a tightening torque up to 5 Nm.
The grippers 2913220 can go up to 15 Nm while the largest pliers 2913320 can screw up to 30 Nm (see 40 Nm if the part has notches).
